How to register as a voter?

Voting registration minimal requirements

These are the pre-requisites you need to have in order to participate

• Minimum requirement of 500 ADA *excluding rewards*

• Prior to registration, you must install the latest version of the Catalyst Voting application on your mobile device.

• Registration must be completed before the snapshot date.

• Make sure you always use the clean fresh install version of the latest app release.

• Inside app - there is a status feature that highlights your readiness for the voting round. It may take some time for voting app to recognize fresh (very recent) registration (up to 24 hours) and be confirmed visually only later. In such scenario - it may be saying 'Wallet not found". As long as your wallet correctly implemented registration standard, it has no effect on the snapshot itself as your registration would be recorded on blockchain regardless. Just ensure your QR/PIN code is safely stored and that it is the latest registration made ahead of scheduled snapshot. Do not mix QR/PIN codes from the same wallet (or others) or connection will not work.

• Note: there is a registration fee of 0.17 - 0.18 ADA

Important info

• If you registered in Fund4, Fund5, Fund6, Fund7, Fund8, and/or Fund9 and were able to cast votes - your registration will be automatically valid for Fund12 to cast votes but not to receive rewards (provided you still have your QR and PIN code you don't need to re-register). This does not apply to Fund2 or Fund3 registrations.

• If you registered in Fund10 or later - and were able to cast a vote correctly - your registration is already valid for Fund12 without any additional steps required. Including rewards eligibility. Make sure you still have access to your correct QR/PIN code combination by connecting to the Voting App.

• Voting power will be updated during the new snapshot taking place on June 18th at 21:45 UTC and show once voting begins at the latest.

• Please note that iPhone 6 and before are not supported.

• Regardless of your wallet, each registration will provide you with a unique QR and PIN code. These must absolutely be saved. No QR code saved, no vote! No PIN code saved, no vote!

Timeline

All data is provided by the wallet vendors. Due to the large number of wallets and wallet versions, it is not possible for Project Catalyst to validate this data in all circumstances and is not endorsed by Project Catalyst.

In your Daedalus wallet

STEP 1

In the latest version of Daedalus, navigate to the voting registration page from the menu on the left-hand side.

• Confirm that you have installed the Catalyst Voting app.

• Confirm that you hold at least 500 ADA at the time of the snapshot.

• Click on "Register to vote”

STEP 2

Select the wallet you wish to vote with and click "Continue" (ensure the wallet contains the minimum required amount for voting: 500 ADA *excluding rewards*) Note: This amount must remain in this wallet until the snapshot, which will collect your voting power. Dates and times of the snapshots for each Fund will be announced through our official social and communication channels

STEP 3

Enter the spending password for your wallet or connect your Hardware wallet and click "Submit registration transaction":

Wait for approximately 5 minutes until the transaction is confirmed by the blockchain and click "Continue". Do not close Daedalus during this time, otherwise your registration will be canceled and you will need to start over:

Set a 4 digit PIN code of your choice, confirm it and click "Continue". Please make sure to remember it or write it down as you will need it for voting later on. Note that if you lose the PIN you will not be able to vote and you will need to repeat the registration process to select a new PIN:

STEP 6

Daedalus will generate a QR code that you will use on Catalyst App to complete the registration and to cast your votes.

• Click "Save as PDF"

• Click "Save" in the dialog

• Note that if you don't save the QR code you wont be able to complete your registration and vote.

STEP 7

Wait for the confirmation message "PDF successfully downloaded" and click on "Close".
